We started with "flashcards". For very young children I made my own card couple years ago when I was working in infant room. Let me "Clean dust"! Actually I had placement in that room and was arguing with my supervisor teacher if it age appropriate to put numbers on those cards. Finally, I got "excellent" and strong believe that we shouldn't make a secret for our little children about numbers)).
There you go:
That wasn't very hard and we were talking about rainbow, how colours organized and make some very cute bracelets!
I found this idea somewhere here and here. I don't remember exactly which activity but both of those blogs are so bright!
So, the question is how we can make those colours? The answer was Make an experiment! And we made!
You can use food colouring of primary colours - couple drops in the water. I used bubble soap, coloured by primary colours and we had a lot of fun making bubbles after!
If you take some yellow liquid and add some red liquid....
Karina is following recipe, just like that
You will get ORANGE!!!!
WE have only three colours... Can we make a rainbow?
We discuss with children what kind of staff we can use for painting and drawing, who is an artist, we even try to combine 7 colours in 1, guess what colour? Right white!
but the biggest surprise was Parachute play?
Tell me how the Parachute look like?
Like COLOUR WHEEL!
And now we should calm ourselves - we doing art...
One of the kind - children's colour wheels 2-3 years old.
