A Little red house....reading again

I love this amazing story, which my teacher in college shared with us. Now I found the story here, in Miss B's classroom and want to share with you the story and my experience.
I hide in by Basket- Suitcase all the characters: farm animals, little girl, and musical instruments.(The Story-noisemaker you can find somewhere in next post). Children had a musical instruments and guessed the sounds, which characters made. We had a lot of fun.
Suddenly, we start to talk about the town, full of red houses...Red, yellow or green! Do you know where that town is?

To create this wonderful orchard you will need:
10 little hands;
5 brown paper lunch bags;
5 sheets  of green tissue paper;
5 brown paper towel rolls
A lot red, yellow and green round stickers (we also used for older children crumpled tissue paper and glue with white glue)
Tonnes of news paper to stuff lunch bags.
And a lot of fun with ripping and  crumpling news paper!

Have fun!

And visit my blog to see our new activities!

Breakfast for Cathy

We start to talk about time - children 2-3 years are aware about seasons, day night changes and routine during the day (hours).  We learn time on the clock easy - it is time when Mom coming - big arm on 12, small arm on 5. Parents are very good they always in time!
Today we talking why Cathy was late in school.
Alarm was ringing but Cathy was sleeping....
Wake up, Cathy!!!
1. Do exercises! (Morning gymnastic - children do exercises and properly breath)
2. Wash your face and teeth! (We explore artificial soap bar, discuss colour and shape, rub hands and sing "ABC"- song)
3. We brush our hair
4. Set up breakfast.
This part has a target give children understanding good manners at table and correct food choice.
We continue to learn colours, shapes and what we need for breakfast st the table.

Finally we created plate for Cathy with taste and healthy breakfast

Yummy!

Halloween masks

Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy or sometimes money, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The word "trick" refers to "threat" to perform mischief on the home-owners or their property if no treat is given. The practice is said to have roots in the medieval practice of mumming, which is closely related to soling(discussed above). John Pymm writes that "many of the feast days associated with the presentation of mumming plays were celebrated by the Christian Church."These feast days included All Hallows' Eve, Christmas, Twelfth Night and Shrove Tuesday. Mumming, practised in Germany, Scandinavia and other parts of Europe, involved masked persons in fancy dress who "paraded the streets and entered houses to dance or play dice in silence." Their "basic narrative framework is the story of St. George and the Seven Champions of Christendom."In Scotland and Ireland, guising – children disguised in costume going from door to door for food or coins  – is a traditional Halloween custom, and is recorded in Scotland at Halloween in 1895 where masqueraders in disguise carrying lanterns made out of scooped out turnips, visit homes to be rewarded with cakes, fruit and money. The practice of Guising at Halloween in North America is first recorded in 1911, where a newspaper in Kingston, Ontario reported children going "guising" around the neighbourhood." Knock, knock! Trick or treat!
