Как мы играли в индейцев or Happy Thanksgiving!

That is a wonderful celebration of Autumn Thanksgiving...The Nature become incredible colourful, weather still quiet and nice. Thanksgiving 2015 came to us exactly like that.Why do not say "Thanks" to everyone around the World? Thanks my Family that you are and supporting me in this world, friends that you exist and we can have fun and share hard time together...Thank you Lord that we have this turkey and bread for our dinner. Many, many thanks for small thing those happen every day and make our lives bright and happy...
We celebrating thanksgiving with the book
Who are Indians? Why pilgrims said them "Thank You!"? - that were important points of our today's games.

Indians do canoeing!

Indians do fishing!

Indians do growing corn, pumpkins and apples!

And they brought roasted turkey for pilgrims who were suffering from hunger!

Those are our turkeys!

If you would like to see how we were hunting it, come and look tomorrow!

Turkey bowling

Do you know why do Americans play a football all three days of Thanksgiving?
Look at this guy! I think he is very good player! I feel he wants to score, no.... knock  out the bird!

 Guess which? Sure, turkey! That was surprise for me when I found somewhere in internet this information. Look at this picture!(source Wikipedia)

So? Why we can not play on Thanksgiving? No, we are not going to play football... we will play "Turkeyball"!

 You will need at least 10 children who want to play this game;
Easy template to draw a turkey;
Crayons or paint to colour it;
Plastic bottle with water (water makes it stable);
Two pumpkins medium size;
Tape - sticky and any tape to make a line.

Draw the turkey and color it.

Cut out and tape on the bottle.

Go out and find nice flat field with grass.( You can play also on pavement but game will finish fast because you will crack the pumpkin. At list you will have another science project to explore what is inside the pumpkin...)

Ok, you can play in classroom if you children will not throw the pumpkin as a player on the picture!
Make two teams and put them on the line. Put turkeys in from of children.
Let children shoot the turkeys in pairs and count haunted turkeys.

Can you imagine? Girls won!!!!

Paper jelly fish or Thanksgiving turkey!

    This activity is very easy, clean and very exciting!
The following activity created according to sensory learning infants but may be also used for ages from 6 months to 6-7 years.
    For infants we used a styrol foam ball covered with masking tape upside down; so it become sticky and stripes of tissue paper easily attach to the ball. Finally, child gets a jelly fish.... or a little colourful monster, if you help your child place on the ball goggly eyes!

    Activity created for infants but now my older children enjoyed it a lot to make a gift for Thanksgiving day.
We used sterol foam cups for the body and sterol foam ball for the head. Instead of feathers we used dried maple leaves and yellow paper for the beak. The other part activity belongs to my lovely colleagues.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
